Socialisation

Socialize 1
Of course you want the very best for your new comrade, this is only possible with a good start.

You will not hear me say that I am going to do better than someone else, but I do want to tell you how I want to do it so that you eventually take home a stable and above all friendly and nice dog.

In the first weeks of their lives we uphold Peace, Regularity and Cleanliness here. It's all exciting enough with the crazy sounds around them. Of course they hear all kinds of things from birth since they are here lying comfortably in the living room with the whole family. The cats and other dog(s) and of course our children. The children bring friends who make sounds and pick up crazy movements, but it is completely forbidden by others outside the family. From 3 weeks we will enlarge the world and at 4 weeks the first curious buyers come and cuddle with the puppies.

What is my idea further you will think. We are going to use a lot of weird sounds and things (umbrella/plastic bag/balls in various sizes/loud music/doorbell) but we also go outside as soon as it is responsible and only in the garden. Previously I also went out with the puppies, but that entailed something, especially when the puppies go to their new owners, because the best socialization is repeating things that you may find exciting and doing this together with a trusted person. When I go outside for the first time, it is exciting in a strange environment, but I am familiar. Then they will do the same with the new owners but then everything is strange, both the environment and the boss if the situation and then the beginning has had no added value for me but a point.

They will walk on different surfaces such as grass, concrete, shells, sand, carpet. A start is also made with bench training. Their fur care is also done and they can get to know the water blower.

And what is especially important is cleanliness. When you enter the run you notice that the puppies have their own corner and that is different per litter where they do their needs, we will temporarily put a mat there to let them sit for a while. can get used to where the pee and poo should come after a few days they see the mat as a toy and tear it up. They then regularly go outside to learn to do everything there and of course we get the pees and poo as fast as possible.

As soon as they get a bit bigger I will extend it outside then they come into the run near the door and that door is open as much as it can and we notice that they realize really quickly that they are outside on the stones or artificial grass. do needs and that saves the new owners a few days.

Also with food they step by step from the mother's milk, first rice flour porridge with goat's milk, then with meat porridge and then on to the chunks so that they learn to eat everything. All new owners will of course receive their nutritional advice on paper. And of course they are dewormed according to rules with a dewormer for puppies. The vet will also follow this completely and carry out the checks as usual.

Keep in mind that as soon as you have the puppy at home, the socialization will continue with you. Make sure that the puppy gets to see and experience things in a dosed manner. Do you often go with the bus, take the puppy with you to get used to it, but take it easy. First look only once at the stop and the passing of the bus, the next day / times 2 stops with the bus and build up like that.

With everything counts if you go too fast then you break more and you can start building again, rather 1 week on 1 level than having to start over 6 times.

And with all our litters, we also individually check whether a litter can handle it and whether adjustments are needed per litter so that everyone can learn everything at their own pace. It remains tailor-made for each litter.
